OPEN STUDIOS SPRING 2025

OPEN STUDIOS SPRING 2025

In the Spring of 2025, MFA Computer Arts presented its Spring Open Studios event, bringing together multidisciplinary projects from students. As this event was primarily for second-year thesis students, I was given the opportunity to participate as a first-year student, in collaboration with Zack Dresher, another first-year student, on building an installation that could showcase the work of our class. We decided to cut out our program’s logo, as well as the acronym “MFACA” using a CNC machine, and invite all first-years to submit their work to be projected onto the letters. Using MadMapper, we created many different iterations of projecting the work, sometimes with one work across all the letters, and sometimes with different works for each. We were able to update everything in real time as we spoke to people at the Open Studios.
