440

440

440 is one of four visual essays for my thesis in the MFA Computer Arts program at SVA, Transit. Aside from modeling in Maya and texturing in Substance Painter, the entire project was created in Houdini, including lighting, rendering, and simulation.

All the video work for Transit interprets my life as if it were a dream. Manually piecing together connections from vignettes in my journal creates new meaning from the existing ones. All the work shown in Transit is derived from the amorphous thoughts floating and re-floating around my mind throughout the past year. It’s the rigorous ritual that seeks to make sense of the ambiguities; it is not about iconography.

I recorded all sounds as field recordings, aside from Made In Heights’ “Murakami.
